Reporting a problem?

A few details help us understand what happened:

  • Your phone model, operating system and app version.
  • The steps you took and what you expected to happen.
  • Any error message you saw.

A short written description is a good place to start. Do not include API keys or passwords in your message.

Common questions

The camera will not open.

Check that camera access is enabled for StrokeLab in your phone’s settings. Return to the app and try again. You can also import an existing video from the home screen.

My swing could not be analysed.

Try a short, well-lit clip with one player and the full body visible throughout the swing. Keep the camera steady and avoid cutting off the feet or racket. If the problem continues, email the error message and the steps you followed.

Do I need cloud coaching?

The app has built-in coaching that works without an OpenRouter key. When cloud features are used, measurements and text are sent to the provider. Your video is not uploaded for analysis. Read the cloud-coaching details.

How do I remove my saved data?

You can delete individual sessions or use Clear all data in Settings to remove app-owned analysis and training history. Profile information, preferences and your saved API key have separate controls. Original gallery videos, shared copies and existing device backups may remain. See retention and deletion for the full details.

Can I use StrokeLab without an account?

StrokeLab does not require an app account. Your sessions are stored locally. Optional cloud services may require a provider account or API key.

Why does feedback sometimes say something was not measured?

A camera view cannot reveal every part of a swing reliably. Lighting, framing and the movement itself can limit the measurements. Try another clip with a clearer view; treat the feedback as a practice aid rather than a definitive assessment.
